Atic Atac - ZX Spectrum - Cover Art Tribute & Stages of Illustration

 

Atic Atac was a computer game created by Ultimate - Play the Game back in 1983. This game was one of the first computer games I played and I played it at a friends house on the ZX Spectrum 48K. A few years later I came to own my own ZX Spectrum 48K.

I had it in my head I'd like to draw a tribute picture. I used coloured blending pencils, marker pens, fineliner pens and graphite pencils on smooth Bristol board paper around an A4 size.

My First Acrylic Painting - Space Baby Buddha

This was my first painting using acrylic paint and was painted back in 2001. Seems like yesterday and was 20 years ago as from the date if this video. The painting is called 'Space Baby Buddha' and features some spiritual and perhaps religious themes, although I myself am not religious or follow any kind of religious ideology.  This is just a short video with a short chat while I put a frame around the painting 20 years later.

Drawing A Borg Drone From Star Trek With Pencil

 

In this video we draw a Borg drone from the Star Trek series using various graded pencils, blender and eraser. All Star Trek fans will know that the Borg are a collective of various humanoids which make up the hive mind. Each humanoid has been stripped of its individuality and belongs to the Borg collective. However, the Borg drone featured in this speed time lapse drawing video seems to have developed what may look like an individual personality and might be expressing its own hostility - perhaps this Borg drone has gone rogue!
